about Nicola

Nicola made her first hat at age 17, though it was a few years later that she began to learn more.

On moving to Melbourne in 1996, Nicola began workshops with Waltraud Reiner - an inspirational milliner who has helped many Australian milliners learn their craft.

Nicola later spent a year in London taking classes at The London College of Fashion, with an instructor from Central Saint Martins and also at Liberty's. It was there that she first learned how to make fabric flowers using heated tools.

Fast forward a few years and Nicola is sourcing exquisite fabrics, feathers and trims from around the world to create stunning, unique headpieces. Nicola continues to enhance her skills through further training each year with world class milliners, and her recent experience includes designing for Lin Pin for Perth Fashion Week 2009.
